"you say it's your birthday...well it's my birthday too..."

{picture taken in December 2004 - see she always supports me!}

to a dear friend who i do not see often enough! kathy, you will always be a part of me..."memories, like the corner of my mind!"

kathy came into my life and challenged me (in many good ways). she has always had strong values and she is an excellent example to those around her. her love for laughter and music is definitely addictive!

a few things i am glad that i did: i did not want to take those a.p. classes, but she told me that i should. i did not want to go on a group date with that guy from her neighborhood, but she told me that i should (he wasn't so great, but the rest of the group was a good time!). i did not want to drive the monte carlo, but she told me that i had to. i did not want to attend school on some "boring" days, but she told me that i was needed. i did not want to try out for dance team in middle school, and i didn't (i am still glad that i didn't do that one!).

kathy has always been taller, thinner, more beautiful, funnier, more stylish, and smarter. if you ask me, she has got it all! she is the mother of five children who are obviously the luckiest children around! kathy's husband struck GOLD when he found her!

we spent many a weekend evening at local dance clubs (this is during high school)...the ritz was so entertaining. we made the most of our time at brighton -- as difficult as it was, we did it. oh, the movies: breakfast club, sixteen candles, night of the living dead (kathy's choice), the dirt bike kid (my mom's choice), etc. some of our more memorable events: bear lake and the jet skis; rhyming like no other; skiing at solitude and brighton; shopping and eating out; working at zcmi bakery; concerts (oingo boingo was the best in my opinion); etc. & etc.

happy 35th kathy! you will always be 17 in my eyes ;)

some day we will reunite for an amazing trip or adventure...i just know it!
