each sunday i think about the events of the past week. some i remember, some i wish to remember, and some i wish to forget.
wow, how "time flies!" my mom says this all of the time and i usually agree. but these days, i really agree! how can it be the 19th of may already?
sophia is now 16 months & 3 weeks old. ella is now 3 years & 10 months old. i am now 22 weeks and 5 days with baby. andre is now 32 days away from defending his thesis. incredible!
to think that i will be a mommy to 3 little children in such a short time is mind-boggling to me. to think that i will be in europe with 2 little children for 3 weeks is overwhelming to me. to think that i will celebrate our travels with 4 generations of women is awesome to me. to think that i have a huge list of items to complete in a few short weeks is exhausting to me. however, it can be done!
Elder Dallin H. Oaks: "Because of increased life expectancies and modern timesaving devices, most of us have far more discretionary time than our predecessors. We are accountable for how we use that time. “Thou shalt not idle away thy time” (D&C 60:13), and “Cease to be idle” (D&C 88:124), the Lord commanded the early missionaries and members. “Time flies on wings of lightning,” we sing in a popular hymn; “we cannot call it back. It comes, then passes forward along its onward track. And if we are not mindful, the chance will fade away, for life is quick in passing. ’Tis as a single day” (“Improve the Shining Moments,” Hymns, no. 226)."
