how could it be?

how could it be that she is so excited about halloween (and i mean sooooooo excited)? every day i hear her sweet little voice inquire, "is tomorrow halloween?" perhaps it is because she loves 'dress-up' more than anything? perhaps it is because she does not really need an excuse to dress-up, but she will jump at an opportunity to buy a new dress-up ensemble. so, when it was time to choose a costume, she literally poured over the magazines that came to our home. this began in august. in september she narrowed her selection to about 10 costumes. so when mommy finally said, "it is time to make a decision," this little girl began to get sad. she wanted so many that i began to get sad. we looked at fairies, princesses, fairy-princesses, queens, fancy fireflies and butterflies, etcetera. she wanted to see the front and back of each costume. she wanted to see the details, especially the sparkles, jewels, and glitter potential. when she made her FINAL DECISION, i have to say that mommy and daddy were quite surprised. she kept us in suspense and now we will do the same for you...once the delivery man delivers her costume (this is how ella believes that all costumes arrive to boys and girls. when i mentioned that i could sew her a costume, she crinkled up her nose and said, "nnnnnnoooooooo, you couldn't do that mommmmmm!" -- yes, it's true, she knows me too well), we will photograph this little girl appropriately and share her excitement with you!
