While Daddy worked the week away, we tried to keep "busy" by
playing on the beach (Port Townsend) on a beautiful sunny day, going on lots of walks/hikes, visiting the Sequim library, enjoying the Lavender Festival, and attending an evening dinner party with Daddy's work associates. We had sun, rain, downpour, and partly cloudy conditions. We loved the big trees, clear river, sparkly ocean, ferry rides, seashells, and time with Daddy in the evenings.
Eventually she decided on a swimsuit :)
They were so busy building - a huge engineering project!
A really happy, great day!
Dungeness River Audubon River Walk & Nature Center: we visited a few times during our stay. We made some friends along the trail and spent time in the Nature Center learning about animals, insects, birds, etc. that dwell around the Peninsula.
With beauty all around, Ella would still read, read, and read some more!
While Sophia & Leif wait and wait for their sister...
Ella would keep reading along the trail. We would warn her of dangers so she didn't have to lift her eyes off of the pages :)
We were searching for banana slugs and found this BIG guy.
Curiosity...
The Lavender Festival was happening while we visited!
Utter joy for Mommy and these three...
We walked some fields of purple and enjoyed the smells.
A new Grosso Lavendr plant was purchased for our yard :)
At the festival we tried a lavender crepe...
we found some good gardening tips too.
We visited the Dungeness Spit a few times...
Lots of climbing and sandcastle building.
We could have stayed for many more days! A beautiful place :) !
On our way home we stopped to visit Oma and Opa for a few hours. They prepared
a delicious lunch and we enjoyed time with them on their deck.
