100+ degrees

saturday was hot, really hot. even the girls complained of the heat. so what do we do? we go to a parade and try to endure the warmth of the day. 35 weeks pregnant and loving it all. in order to survive...

we drink alot of h20:
gather candy by the bag full:
wait for more candy:
stand in awe over all of the princesses:
listen to loud music:
all the while wishing we were somewhere that resembled this float:

in other news, some green ideas that we are trying to stick to:

1. keep your household air set between 75-78 degrees during the day, especially during the super-hot august afternoons. less energy, happy earth.

2. does your grass have to be THAT green? no, not really. wait to fertilize until september when the temps are a little cooler, demanding less water and mowing time.

3. save some of that summer artwork for wrapping paper. the holidays are coming up and what grandma & grandpa wouldn't LOVE a gift with child-made gift wrap?

4. cut and dry your flowers and grasses for interesting decor on gift wrap for all occasions.
